The game
Every night the dark takes back the land your light can't reach. Duskhold (working title) is a dark fort-builder where light is territory: lit ground is yours, and the fog belongs to the things that live in it. By day your peasants chop wood and you build. By night you hold the walls, relight the lamps and hope the horrors hate fire as much as you think they do.
Features
- Light is everything: you can only build where your lamps reach, and the lamps burn oil you have to earn.
- Build up, not just out: stack palisades into stone walls and stone walls into towers.
- Walk the walls yourself as the Lantern-Bearer, a moving light with a flare that scatters the dark.
- A garrison to command: station bowmen, wardens and lamplighters where the fight is thickest.
- Horrors that play differently, from things that crawl and burrow to a creature that hunts your lights.
- One fort, one long campaign: grow a hilltop keep into a walled, lamp-lit city. Lose a district and win it back at dawn, never the whole save.
Status
Duskhold is a working prototype. Days, nights, building, stacking, the garrison and the first horrors are all playable, and the campaign is being built out now. It's coming to PC first, with mobile to follow.
